Mid-level Systems Engineer
Description: Responsible for providing technical and programmatic analysis in support of Naval Systems. Support Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process and work with program managers, systems engineers, and configuration managers to ensure adherence to SPAWAR installation guidance. Prepare briefings, documentation, schedules, and review cost estimates. Serve as a liaison between numerous internal and external stakeholders concerning C4I policies, network design, configuration and certification, installation and integration challenges, procurements, and ILS.
. Must currently hold or be eligible for the reinstatement of a previously held SECRET security clearance
. Relevant Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
. 2+ years supporting Navy shipboard installation and SOVT efforts
. 2+ years supporting a Navy Systems Command-level acquisition program office or integration program office
. Knowledge of System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) processes
. Knowledge of ship- and shore-based Navy communications and network infrastructure systems
. Certifications - Linux+, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
. VMware VSAN, vSphere, NSX knowledge/experience
. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Network Security (CCSP)
. Security+, CASP or CISSP certification
. Project Management experience
. Enterprise Security Policy knowledge and best practices
